Children's Ministries
■ Sunday School

Sundays, 9:50

▪ Graded classes for birth - 5th Grade.
• Age appropriate curriculum is used to teach the Bible.
■ G-Force
▪ September - May, Sundays, 6:15 - 7:15 p.m.
▪ Weekly discipleship classes for 1st - 5th
grades.
▪ Fun, interactive and high energy, and
features cool
music, drama, and visual sound effects.
■ Outreach Events
▪ Year Round, Every Other Month
▪ Large group gatherings of children
from preschoolers - 5th grade.
▪ Events include: Fall Festival/Trunk or
Treat, Happy Birthday Jesus
Party, Sharing God's Love Valentine's Party, Easter Event, and
Back to School/Fall Events Kick Off Party.
■ Cheernastics & Tumbling
▪ January - March, Tuesdays, 4 - 8 p.m.
▪ Classes are for boys and girls ages 4 - 18 who want to experience
cheer and tumbling and provide children with a positive environment
to develop their physical, emotional, and spiritual selves.
■ Basketball
▪ January - March, Saturdays, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
▪ Age appropriate teams for children age 5 - 5th grade.
■ VBS (Vacation Bible School)
▪ Summer, for children, age 3 - 5th grade.
▪ A weeklong adventure with Bible study, crafts, recreation, mission
study, music, and snacks.

■ Children's Choir
▪ September - May, Wednesdays, 6:15 - 7:15 p.m.
▪ Age appropriate choirs for children age 3 -
5th grade.
■ Young Musicians Recorder & Handbell Choir
▪ September - May, Wednesdays, 4:30 - 5:15 p.m.
▪ A two - to three - octave handbell and
recorder choir for
children in grades 4 - 6.
■ Youth Choir
▪ September - May, Sundays, 5:00 - 5:45 p.m.
▪ A choir for youth, grades 6 - 12, which
provides music for Sunday
morning worship and other opportunities as well as summer and
mission trips.
■ Chancel Choir
▪ Wednesdays, 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.
▪ Open to college - adults.
▪ Provides music for our 11 a.m. worship
service as well as seasonal
and special event services.
■ VBC Praise Team
▪ Wednesdays, 6:15 -
7:15 p.m.
▪ Small group of adult auditioned
vocalists and a seven piece
band who perform contemporary praise music during the 9
a.m. worship service.
■ Emmanuel
▪ Sundays, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
▪ An auditioned adult
contemporary Christian group that
provides music for our morning worship service as well
as seasonal and special event services.
■ Adult Instrumental Ensemble
▪ Sundays, 10:30
▪ Plays hymn accompaniments and assists with
special anthems.
■ Jubilate Handbells
▪ September -May, Sundays, 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.
▪ A three octave handbell choir for adults
with ringing experience.
■ Young In Spirit
▪ September - May, Mondays, 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
▪ Ministers through music to area nursing and
retirement homes.

▪ An opportunity for in-depth Bible study,
small-group fellowship,
and support.
■ Seminars
▪ September - May, Wednesdays, 6:15 - 7:15 p.m.
▪ A variety of topics offered, usually in 3
week courses. These
courses allow for small-group study, personal devotion, and
discipleship.
■ WMU (Women on Missions Union)
▪ Year Round
▪ Three groups that meet at various times
monthly.
▪ Groups share prayer concerns, participate in
service projects,
and provide support for our denomination and global missions.
■ Recreational Ministries
▪ The Recreation Committee provides avenues for
Christian
fellowship and outreach through a variety of recreational and
social
activities.
▪ Teams with league play are available for
bowling, basketball,
softball, and volleyball.
■ Walking
▪ Year Round, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 10 a.m.
▪ Open to the community.
■ Wednesday Night Dinner
▪ September - May, Wednesdays, 5:30 - 6:15 p.m.
▪ Open to everyone.
▪ Cafeteria style dining with friends and
family.
■ Operation Reach Out
▪
Designed for Member of Vinton Baptist Church to show our larger
community how much we care about them.

with opportunities for learning, fun, and fellowship.

▪ A program of visitation and contact for our
homebound members.
■ Seniors on the Move
▪ Year Round, Thursdays, 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
▪ Stretching exercise program for senior
adults, men and women.
